Nagarhole National Park

Nagarhole National Park is a national park located in Kodagu district and Mysore district in Karnataka, India. It is one of India’s premier Tiger Reserves along with the adjoining Bandipur Tiger Reserve and Wayanad Wildlife Sanctuary. This park was declared the thirty-sevenths Project Tiger, Tiger reserves of India in 1999. It is part of the Nilgiri Biosphere Reserve. The Western Ghats Nilgiri sub-cluster of 6,000 km2, including all of Nagarhole National Park, is under consideration by the UNESCO World Heritage Committee for selection as a World Heritage Site.

Soochipara Falls

Soochipara Falls also known as Sentinel Rock Waterfalls is a three-tiered waterfall in Vellarimala, Wayanad, India. It is surrounded by deciduous, evergreen, and montane forests. Locally referred to as Soochipara (“Soochi” meaning “Needle” and “Para” meaning “Rock”), the 15-20 minute drive from Meppadi to Sentinel Rock Waterfalls has views of a number of Wayanad’s tea estates. The Sentinel Rock Waterfalls is 200 meters and offers a cliff face that is used for rock climbing. The water from Soochipara Falls later joins Chulika River or popularly known as Chaliyar River after Velarimala Hills near Cherambadi in Kerala.

Pookode Lake

Pookode Lake is a scenic freshwater lake in the Wayanad district in Kerala, South India. A major tourist destination in the district, Pookode is a natural freshwater lake nestling amid evergreen forests and mountain slopes at an altitude of 770 meters above sea level. It is 15 km away from Kalpetta. It is the smallest and highest altitude freshwater lake in Kerala.

madikeri fort

Madikeri Fort also called Mercara Fort was first founded by Mudduraja in the second half of the 17th century. He also built a palace inside the fort. It was eventually rebuilt and restructured in granite by Tipu Sultan who named the site Jaffarabad. Mercara Fort is among the many forts, built or rebuilt by Tipu Sultan. In 1790, Dodda Vira Rajendra took control of the fort. The British added to the fort in 1834. The palace was renovated by Linga Rajendra II in 1812-1814. In the northeast corner at the entrance are two life-size masonry elephants and a church is present in the southeast corner.

Omkareshwara Temple

Built-in the 19th century, in 1820, by King Lingarajendra II presenting an interesting architecture that attracts not only devotees but everyone. Irrespective of which faith you are from, its unique blend of Gothic and Islamic architecture is worth exploring. This temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva.

Namdroling Monastery

The Namdroling Nyingmapa Monastery is the largest teaching center of the Nyingma lineage of Tibetan Buddhism in the world. Located in Bylakuppe, part of the Mysuru district of the state of Karnataka, the monastery is home to a sangha community of over five thousand lamas, a junior high school named Yeshe Wodsal Sherab Raldri Ling, a religious college and hospital.

Bangalore (Arrival) – Coorg (270 kms, 6hrs)

Arrive at Bangalore Airport, pick up by our chauffeur and further proceed to the land of waterfalls, Check in to the hotel. Half-day sightseeing in Coorg including Coorg visiting Madikeri Fort, Raja Seat. At Raja Seat enjoy the spectacular sunset which will refresh one’s mind. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Coorg

This morning after having your breakfast, go for visiting places such as Bhagamandala, which is situated at the confluence of two rivers, the Cauvery and the Kanika. A third river, the Sujyothi is said to join from underground. It is considered sacred as a river confluence; Talakaveri is a beautiful place and the origin of the Cauvery River. It is situated on the slopes of the Brahmagiri mountain ranges near Bhagamandala, Madikeri Fort, Omkareswara Temple, Raja’s Tomb. Overnight Stay at hotel.

Coorg – Kabini (120 kms, 3hrs)

Today Morning after breakfast check out and depart for Kabini. Kabini is a perfect getaway for nature lovers. The tranquil backwaters of the River Kabini present an ideal setting for a long-awaited vacation. On arrival at Kabini, check into the hotel. Take lunch & rest. Evening visit Kabini dam Overnight stay at Kabini.

Kabini

Today morning After breakfast proceed to jeep safari to Nagarhole National Park or Boat safari (additional cost). The Park has rich forest cover, small streams, hills, valleys, and waterfalls. This park was declared the tiger reserve in 1999. It is part of the Nilgiri Biosphere Reserve. Enjoy a coracle ride in the Kabini River. It’s a traditional round-shaped boat called a coracle. The design of the boat is unique to the rivers of Southern India (a must-do experience) Lunch in the afternoon. Dinner & Overnight stay at Kabini.

Kabini - Wayanad (127 kms, 3hrs)

After having breakfast & checkout from hotel. And proceed to Wayanad. Wayanad is situated in an elevated picturesque mountainous. On Arrival at wayanad, check-in to Hotel. After fresh up, Later Proceed to visit Pookat Lake, Chain Tree and Valley View Pint. Overnight stay at Wayanad hotel.

Wayanad
